We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced employee engagement specialist to help us engage and connect colleagues as we embark on the delivery and implementation of our new strategy – It Starts With Community.

Working as part of the Internal Communications and Engagement Team, you will lead and deliver our engagement approach across the National Lottery Community Fund.

We’re looking for someone with experience in identifying and leading engagement opportunities who will bring new, creative ideas. You’ll be an excellent communicator, who will be able to develop and deliver engagement across multiple projects as part of our strategy delivery programme.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including working with members of our senior management team and other senior leaders. You will lead and develop our Colleague Council, deliver our engagement survey process, manage our all-colleague meetings and plan activities and events which bring colleagues together and help them connect to our new strategy.

Your work will also play an important role in developing our culture and making the Fund a great place to work. This will involve working closely with the People Team, EDI teams and staff networks to ensure our engagement activity is inclusive and accessible.

Interview Date: Week commencing 26th February 2024 – to take place onsite in Birmingham

Location: UK-wide. The role can be based at any of our UK offices, these are Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Newcastle and Newtown. Hybrid approach to working and expectation to attend the Birmingham office twice a month, and other UK offices when necessary.

Salary: £32,524 – £44,000 based on skills, experience and location

Essential Criteria

• Experience in employee engagement and internal communications thinking. Confident setting strategies based on audience analysis and knowledge of the right channels

• Experience of delivering engagement for an internal change programme

• End-to-end management of employee engagement surveys and providing delivery, insight, analysis and recommendations from the results

• Designing, planning and delivering colleague engagement meetings and events

• Experience of managing and developing employee forums

• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and acting as a trusted advisor at all levels, including senior leaders

• Identifying opportunities to engage employees working in a hybrid environment at different levels in creative and interesting ways

• Experience of working as part of an internal communications and engagement team
