Internal Control Officer (Open to Nationals of Philippines Only)

JOB PURPOSE

The Internal Control Reviewer works independently and autonomously to ensure adherence to the ICRC’s internal control framework and compliance with its rules, policies and procedures. S/he performs reviews to assess the design and operational effectiveness of IT general and application controls in place.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs IT general and application control reviews to ensure that the systems and related controls are operating effectively and efficiently as designed
• Prepares and presents the reports and other technical information (i.e., recommendations and guidance on identified security and control risks) in a pertinent, concise and accurate manner to management and other relevant stakeholders
• Follows up on noted findings to ensure that necessary corrective actions have been taken
• Contributes in the further development and improvement of test plans, policies, internal control procedures, or methodologies
• Coordinates and interacts with external auditors as appropriate

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS AND PROFILE

• Must have a university degree in accountancy, information technology, or equivalent
• Must be a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Relevant experience in IT governance/IT audit
• High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, hands-on, and results driven yet able to work well independently or as part of a team
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences across the organization
• Fluent command of written and spoken English; Knowledge of other is an asset
