About the RoleAt Maria Mallaband Care Group, it’s our peple who make us great, and we pride ourselves on how well we work together as a team.As an Internal Auditor Support Officer here at Maria Mallaband Care Group we are looking for someone with knowledge, understanding and skills within ideally the care sector, that will be able to support with all internal audit functions.We have 2 amazing NEW opportunities:North Region – will be covering our Northern Care Homes, our Northern Region is from the Yorkshire area upto and including Scotland.South Region – will be covering our Southern Care Homes, our Southern Region is from Midlands to the South West including Cornwall.Scope of the roleThe Auditor Support Officer will be trained by the Head of Internal Audit to complete administrative type service audits and give feedback to Managers and Senior staff within the care home setting. The Auditor Support will encourage, support, and motivate others to make a positive difference to improve quality within their care home. The Auditor Support Officer by sharing knowledge and experience to promote quality improvements within our care homes.Major accountabilities of the role

  • Educate and promote Quality Assurance best practice in service level administration requirements.
  • Support in auditing staff files to support in safe recruitment following best practice.
  • Review H&S records to ensure they are completed to the Maria Mallaband Care Group standard and best practice
  • Support in ensuring financial accountings are accurate and managed in line with company policy
  • Promote and influence quality related improvements, share experiences, learning and best Practice.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of internal and external quality standards, in the pursuit of determining and establishing continuous improvement.
  • Supporting services to achieve key performance indicators in quality and promote ideas for future improvement.
  • Maintains overall responsibility for the relevant service audit.
  • Ensures appropriate agreed methodologies are followed.
  • Updates the relevant systems to ensure records are maintained and an audit trail is recorded.
  • Liaises and engages with a wide range of people that use the service.
  • Ensures judgements and ratings are supported by corroborated evidence and analysis..
  • Maintains an understanding and awareness of CQC/Care Inspectorate/RQIA policies and procedures and ensures these are reflected in everyday practices.
  • Attends mandatory and other training as required to support individual development.
  • Encourages a culture that values openness, honesty, rigour, and challenge to embed the Maria Mallaband Care Group values and behaviours.
  • Raises awareness and improves practice in respect of Equality and Diversity; challenges discrimination and promotes human rights in the workplace.
  • Experience and, capability requirements Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience of working in an administrative function ideally within a care home setting
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge, specifically use of word, Excel, and email.
  • Have good organisational skills and be able to manage their time and workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to demonstrate and ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levelsCapability
  • Have good listening skills.
