Essential Functions:

• Scan/sort/file all tax work papers
• Process tax returns (print pdf copy from the Tax program into DM program or the Engagement binder program and print paper copy if needed)
• Package tax returns to send to the client via mail, Fed Ex, courier or for client pick up
• Mail invoices, any correspondences, engagement letters, etc.
• Stock the break rooms in kitchen
• Drop off and sort the mail
• Help with e-file acceptances
• Help with updating and scanning of engagement letters
• Help with any miscellaneous projects if needed
• Provide assistance in preparing work papers, trial balances, depreciation schedules, entering data for computer applications and preparing engagement correspondence.
• Assist professional staff in gathering data for tax return preparation, maintaining the tax library, and maintaining client tax and auditing files.

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university with a major in accounting
• Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week Monday – Friday
• Must be available to work weekends before the following tax deadlines: April 15 th , September 15 th and October 15 th
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to operate general office equipment such as postal scale and meter, copier, binding machine, multi-phone line system and computer
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Basic understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
