Position Summary

1. Analyze external and internal business environment along with current business status to strategically identify critical issues and develop responsive strategies to set the course of action.2. Develop action plans to strengthen competitiveness based on assessment of internal competencies and processes.3. Communicate strategic vision globally and execute high priority tasks to support top management.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Shape Samsung’s customer and channel strategy for Smartphones, Tablets, Wearables, Laptops, and accessories
  • Conduct Telecom Carrier & Retailer market intelligence, identify recent industry trends, analyze financial (earnings) performance
  • Assess carriers & retailers’ business, customer & channel strategy
  • Identify implications and recommendations for Samsung business strategy
  • Serve as internal consulting for customer teams and GTM strategy/operations for upcoming product launches
  • High visibility and interaction with senior leadership
  • Prepare and present content, analysis & recommendations to senior leadership and wider organization to inform go-forward recommended strategy

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact at all levels within organization
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple strategic programs and simultaneous objectives
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, explain, and act based on a thorough understanding of technical and marketing documents
  • Effective communicator with leadership presence
  • Highly motivated and self-driven
  • Able to think strategically and tactically and pay attention to detail

Technical Skills

  • Analytical track record (previous analytics experience)
  • Experience in Business Strategy, Product strategy, Industry/Market intelligence
  • Experience in technology and/or telecom sector an asset
  • Interest in consumer electronics & technology trends
