Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Counselor Job Description:

We are looking for an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Counselor to join our Alum Creek Drive team. This position will develop and manage the IOP services in the Adult Outpatient Department. The IOP counselor will serve as a group specialist but also assist with completion and/or review of chemical dependency, bio-psychosocial, and related assessments and client’s current functioning. Provide chemical dependency counseling (individual and, group), crisis intervention, and chemical dependency education. Develop, assign, and monitor individualized treatment and continuing care plans.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Counselor Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral science with two (2) years of experience in the field of chemical dependency or mental health treatment
  • LPC, LSW, LISW, LCDC II, LCDC III (or comparable certification) with 2 years of paid full-time experience in the field of chemical dependency, mental health, or adolescent treatment, or equivalent
