Our Integrations Product Manager must contribute to the product team a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the business that can come from across the organization – marketing, sales, client management, finance, legal and privacy. The product manager must also closely collaborate with these areas and their team to discover effective solutions and then deliver those solutions to the market. The integrations product manager will be responsible for expanding SMG’s integration offering to ensure relevant data sources—CRM, digital ordering platforms, operational data, social reviews and many more—are available to our customers and their technology teams in order to drive a deeper understanding and robust insights related to the customer experience.
Day-to-day you will:
- Report directly to and collaborate with the Director of Product Management.
- Engage with customers and customer technology teams to perform research and understand user needs.
- Identify and assess new integration opportunities.
- Evaluate third party capabilities such as APIs and integration technologies.
- Participate in security and scalability activities and help assess and address technical risk.
- Collaborate with a technical team lead and a UX designer to determine, investigate, and shape market problems that will lead to epics and user stories for an engineering team to deliver.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Architects and Operations to ensure technical specifications and onboarding tools support Epic and Story requirements and implementation plans.
- Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general.
- Facilitate the creation and maintenance for proper product documentation.
- Make prioritization decisions that will deliver products and features that will delight our clients.
- Demonstrate understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
- Communicate with shareholders effectively and regularly regarding the product, development in process and the roadmap
- Exhibit cross-functional leadership in advancing your roadmap.
Your experience & skills include:
- 2+ years product management or engineering experience in a similar role
- Experience in building and launching various APIs, including API-based products and services.
- Strong technical background in understanding and working with cloud platforms, APIs and other methods of technical integration
- Ability to read and analyze data: understanding of BI tools and query languages such as SQL is desired
- Technical writing knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated experience in bringing products through its lifecycle to end users and customers
- Strong communication skills: presentation and writing
- Ability to foster collaboration within cross-functional teams
- Decision making skills that advances the product and backlog
- Easily navigates complexity by working through intricate information
- Proven track record of interviewing and listening to clients to inform development through research
