The Integral Mission (IM) Coordinator will work in the World Relief Ukraine country office based in Uzhhorod in close cooperation with Country Director and Program team to support church engagement projects, networking, narrative/data driven reports understanding the church network/landscape within Ukraine. The IM Coordinator will work closely with the Country Director, Ukraine, staff, Head Office as well as with partners and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of program commitment, reporting as per grant requirements and program development for expansion and new initiatives. The IM Coordinator will also play a key focal point and liaison role for communication and interaction with World Relief’s Integral Mission network, regularly meeting with various internal networks and communicating IM values, goals and mission to World Relief Home Office (HO) and World Relief Ukraine team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Church Engagement Design Project Design:
  • Work to develop key relationships with partners and other project stakeholders.
  • Identifies, assess, monitors performance of and partner organizations and prepares relevant MoUs.
  • Assign activities to local implementing partner considering the expertise and implementation capacity of the partners.
  • Conduct effective correspondence with WR team, stakeholders and others as required.
  • Represents WR Ukraine in meetings, forums, working groups, government sector offices, events, processes, etc., as advised by the
  • Program Manager. Documentation and Research Management:
  • Create and maintain a Church Engagement Strategy in coordination with the WR Integral Mission Unit and Country Director.
  • Research and map church network stakeholders within Ukraine, analyze church migration and create surveys (qualitative and qualitative) to understand the local church context.
  • Compile, organize and maintain a large list of contacts as it relates to church networks.
  • Regularly visit key church sites to understand context and capacities of various networks. Integral Mission Focal Point:
  • Adhere to and thoroughly understand Integral Mission principles.
  • Facilitate the implementation of IM Principles and practices in the humanitarian context in Ukraine.
  • Act as liaison with WR Integral Mission unit and WR Ukraine Office, Home Office.
  • Develop devotionals and presentations to train WR Ukraine office in Integral Mission principles. MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning):
  • Adapt technical and strategic priorities for programming shifts to address rapidly changing needs and to ensure continuation of programming for church engagement services in war-affected areas where there are no hostilities.
  • In collaboration with Program Manager, Head Office support teams, experts and consultants, leads participatory assessments, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation and feedback systems.
  • Tracking progress of the project results using the ITT tool, according to the MEAL framework and provide explanations for the under/over accomplishments, success factors and the challenges.
  • Prepare monitoring plan, conduct field visits with staff, stakeholders and provide technical support, identify, and resolve problems at field level.
  • Prepare, review, and submit periodic reports, progress, and challenges, best practices, lessons learned and requested updates as per the standards and reporting schedule of the donor and the consortium lead, as per agreed schedules, formats, and timelines.
  • Capture best practices, lessons learned, challenges and share among team.
  • Closely work with the Program Manager and Head Office support teams in developing frameworks, relevant TORs for conducting surveys, studies, Mid-term, and Final evaluation. Partnership, Networking and Communication:
  • Analyze and map church networks in Ukraine and develop and maintain relationships with major stakeholders and international organizations working with other churches.
  • Support field visits for monitoring and oversight of newly designed activities, and for purposes of high-level visitors.
  • Work to develop key relationships with partners and other project stakeholders.
  • Assign activities to local implementing partner considering the expertise and implementation capacity of the partners.
  • Conduct effective correspondence with WR team, stakeholders and others as required.
  • Represents WR Ukraine in meetings, forums, working groups, government sector offices, events, processes, etc., as advised by the Country Director. Budget Management
  • Ensures that effective and efficient financial, admin and logistical procedures / systems are established and followed by partners and other project stakeholders. Monitors implementation of grant budgets and facilitates revisions as deems necessary.
  • Ensure the project budget is allocated/utilized for the right purpose in cost effective way.
  • Prepares summary of budget utilization status and updates the Program Manager and Finance Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Communication and coordination skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate the success of working groups and collaborations between individuals and organizations.
  • Skills in data collection and interpreting research to inform and impact decisions and policymaking.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to ad hoc requests for information and to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with physical rehabilitation programming is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to be mobile and agile at a moment’s notice in case of an emergency required.
  • Enthusiasm for serving the most vulnerable and sharing stories of individuals and communities around the world.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a disposition that is positive and professional.
  • Must be a humble team player.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and to deal with problems and issues both promptly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs , Statement of Faith , Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Master’s degree theology, divinity, or relevant fields.
  • 1-3 Year work experience in church networks in local or international NGOs.
  • Demonstrated interest in international development as well as in inclusive development, social justice, and engagement with marginalized and underrepresented groups.
  • Cross-cultural experience and an ability to learn about cross-cultural relationships and dynamics.
  • Up to 50% of domestic and/or international travel required
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Fluency in oral and written English required, Russian/Ukrainian language skills a plus.
