Position Details
The Intake and Assessment Unit is a short term, fast paced, case management program contracted through Orange County Department of Social Services that is responsible for assessing the needs of children and families in Orange County.
Intake case workers conduct home visits to work with families to promote positive change, alleviate the impact of crisis situations, empower families, connect families to community resources and prevent the out of home placement of children. Intake case workers provide service coordination, make appropriate referrals to community agencies and provide advocacy as needed to assist the family meet their needs.
This position requires strong organization skills and flexibility.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation.
- Must be computer literate.
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Spanish speaking preferred.
