Insurance Internship Summer 2023 (Sales Rotation)

Johnson Financial Group is looking for an Insurance Intern for Summer 2023 in Racine, Milwaukee or Madison, WI!

Johnson Insurance serves the insurance needs of both businesses and consumers through Property / Casualty, Employee Benefits, and Personal insurance products and services. Through this rotational sales internship, you will work with multiple lines of business within the agency including commercial, employee benefits, and personal lines insurance. There will be regular travel between offices to meet with teams, with the potential of overnight stays. Any costs incurred with travel will be paid for by JFG.

You will gain exposure and insight to the following:

Sales

• Understand the business and consumer sales process
• Shadow and participate in sales calls and appointments with the opportunity to attend client meetings.
• Learn sales tactics relative to setting appointments and creating a sales business plan.

Service/Operations

• Understand the operational processes
• Learn how we service our clients working with businesses, consumers and carriers and understanding why this is important to the sales process.
• Shadow client servicing phone calls and discussions including policy changes and securing quotes

Marketing

• Learn more about the types of businesses and carriers we partner with along with marketplace trends
• Understanding of the underwriting guidelines
• Utilize sales and operational knowledge to support and help grow the business

Qualifications:

• A major in Marketing, Finance, or any business related area; Insurance and Risk Management major preferred
• Junior standing
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Having an interest or understanding of insurance is a plus!

Duration: 10 weeks; June 5, 2023 – August 11, 2023

Salary: $18.00/ hour
