Job Title: Insights & Intelligence Partner (Engagement Division)

Location: Fully remote, office space available in Oxford if hybrid working preferred

Hours of Work: Full time, 36 hours per week

Contract: Temporary 5 months assignment

Salary: £115-£153 per day plus holiday pay, equivalent to £30,000-£40,000 per annum (DOE)

Charity People are delighted to be working with a global humanitarian charity. The Engagement division exists to inspire people with charity’s story of radical impact, partnership, and change and to

build the income, action & influence they need to deliver this vision. An opportunity has come up to for an experience Insights & Intelligence Partner to join the team for a period of 5 months.

You will provide business insight and intelligence support to specific engagement teams, partnering with them to use data and insights to inform their work. You will design and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), building reporting dashboards and data queries across a range of software solutions and platforms, and to support their audience understanding objectives.

Essential Experience & Skills Needed For The Role

  • A high level of numeracy and analytical thinking, the ability to use data mining, statistical testing and modelling tools and techniques and an appetite to learn new professional skills.
  • Able to express complex technical information to non-technical staff in an understandable manner, including using data visualisation.
  • Experience of managing the design and delivery of insight projects, with a successful approach to workload management and prioritisation.
  • Ability to influence colleagues to bring about required changes and improvements in business practices. A positive, solutions focused, team member that is proud to support colleagues to succeed.
  • Knowledge and understanding of supporter/ customer relationship management, direct marketing and digital marketing practices. Knowledge of CRM and web analytics concepts, activities and terminology.
  • High levels of curiosity and external awareness
  • Experience of using analysis software including Microsoft Power BI, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and Microsoft Azure. Excellent SQL coding skills.

Key Organisational Accountabilities

  • Work with Individual Engagement teams, embedded in their day to day activities to develop, implement and maintain statistical models and offer key insight to support business challenges, optimise tasks and to help realize growth plans. Specifically:
  • Direct Engagement & Events team
  • Supporter Recruitment, Digital, Engagement Campaigns & Brand teams
  • Supporter Journey and Legacy Engagement teams
  • Manage the team’s data processes, including key data flows between Engagement Systems, ensuring the smooth operation of key fundraising activities.
  • Manage specific engagement platforms (e.g. Evergiving) as needed, in close cooperation with the Engagement Systems Team. Troubleshoot and provide team support as needed.
  • Utilise specific technical knowledge and competence with business intelligence tools to conduct data analysis and profitability modelling.
  • Lead on the delivery of campaign and test analysis, providing key insights into levels of success and actionable learning. Support business teams to design tactical and strategic audience tests, and work with Selections team to ensure test groups are managed throughout the lifetime of the test.
  • Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to create KPIs and targets – both for individual campaigns and at a strategic (divisional) level.
  • Produce and maintain engaging data visualisation products to report performance and results.
