Position Description

Reporting to the National Sales Director

The Inside Sales Specialists is responsible for increasing product awareness, educating customers and achieving territory goals through fully remote/virtual customer interactions. This role is charged with relationship development and promotional efforts with U.S. customers and accounts. Will be responsible for executing account and customer strategies while also tracking down and qualifying leads driven by non-personal marketing activities.

The candidate should possess strong business acumen and outstanding communications skills with an aptitude to develop in-depth expertise in virtual engagement settings, establish and build impactful relationships and exhibit strong promotional skills. They must understand and follow the call process, including developing pre-call plans, executing calls, and conducting post-call analyses using all available digital and virtual tools. They must work independently in virtual collaboration with cross-functional internal teams. Where applicable, the candidate should coordinate insights, learnings, and customer approach with in-field Rare Disease Specialists who call on Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in overlapping geographical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with multidisciplinary medical teams in in-depth informational/promotional communications to drive patient identification through market development and physician education; develop a territory strategy to retain customers.
  • Support physician and patient-finding strategy via non-personal marketing lead validation.
  • Liaise with the field to support market development and drive brand awareness by building and executing against territory strategies and account-specific plans.
  • Directing and managing marketing operational efforts to support field sales outreach.
  • Partner with and support the development of regional marketing resources.
  • Effectively prioritizes and manages time, activities, and resources (people and financial) to optimize access to and development of key accounts.
  • Develop analytic procedures and manage data from strategic partners to support field commercialization
  • Effectively communicates and closely collaborates with stakeholders across commercial, compliance, legal, market access, and patient services.
  • Builds individual account plans for key accounts and physicians, including how to approach those customers, achieve sales goals, and maximize sales results.
  • Executes virtual programs and presentations for their assigned sites.
  • Routinely reports territory-level market dynamics and trends, including prescriber opinion and competitive activity, to manager and escalates to home office as needed.
  • Verify and complete required data entry including details of the target’s responses, notes, and any follow-through actions in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity.
  • Demonstrates and upholds the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s required.
  • 2 years of successful sales experience, preferably in an incentivized environment (in biotech or pharmaceutical industry is a plus).
  • Experience in the healthcare industry involving interactions with physicians and patients:
  • Experience in Neurology is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of rare disease experience.
  • Understanding and experience working with HUB patient services required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a continued focus on utilizing phone and other channels to create, nurture, and expand relationships with HCPs to achieve brand objectives.
  • Must be familiar with relevant legal and regulatory environment in biotech/pharmaceutical industry and have a demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity and to compliant execution.
  • Product launch experience is a plus, including a working knowledge of government and commercial payers.
  • Able to travel up to 25%
