Salary: Up to £48,000 (including £3344 London Weighting if applicable)

As an Innovation Manager in the innovation hub, you will work alongside a Service Designer and multidisciplinary team to explore problem areas, test solutions and create new services and social enterprises that help support people in crisis.
What you will be doing…

**

You will play an integral role in ensuring the British Red Cross remains relevant for future generations and transforms into a more innovative, agile and user-centric organisation.
You will lead end-to end innovation cycles from exploring problem areas, developing ideas, testing solutions to launching new social enterprises, commercial ventures and services that help support people in crisis.
You will champion our user-centric design approach; ensuring users are at the heart of our design and development process.
You’ll work collaboratively with people from a variety of different backgrounds and disciplines. All the time supported by an immediate and wider team of highly passionate, skilled and friendly people who help create the space to make things happen.

What we are looking for…

**

  • You are passionate about innovation and driving change in the charity sector

  • You have an entrepreneurial, growth mindset and experience of developing new products, services, commercial ventures, or social enterprises

  • You are commercially minded and know your way round a financial model

  • You have led innovation projects, from defining the scope, gathering insight, developing, and testing new ideas to launching new products and services

  • You are naturally curious, always on the lookout for new ideas and ways to improve processes, products, and services.

  • You are user-focused and enjoy developing insight and identifying and responding to trends

  • You are a people person and enjoy making new connections. You know how to engage others and can passionately champion and communicate ideas and new concepts to different audiences

  • You have knowledge of a range of innovation tools and methodologies (e.g. design thinking, rapid prototyping and agile delivery)

  • You have experience of working in an agile environment

The closing date for applications is 23.59 on the 13th of February with first stage interviews scheduled to take place on 16th / 17th / 18th of February.
