IT is integral to our humanitarian work to enable our global teams to reach communities around the world with life-saving help.

Islamic Relief is already part way through its digital transformation, with ongoing major investment to update IT technology to support our rapid growth. As Service Delivery Manager you will design, deliver and improve upon robust global centralised ICT services already delivering value to over 3,500 staff in over 45 countries. You will help shape the future of our hybrid cloud services including Microsoft 365 for productivity and collaboration, global finance and ERP, end-user devices, fundraising technologies and other solutions are already in place.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a transformative impact at a leading international humanitarian organisation.

We are looking for people with:

  • Strong leadership skills, managing international teams of up to 30 people directly and through matrix management
  • A good grounding in ICT service delivery supporting infrastructure, applications and end-users across international operations
  • Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills to support non-technical stakeholders across the organisation including negotiating service level agreements internally and externally
  • A cool and calm approach problem and incident management
  • Experience in using ITIL and other frameworks to create service delivery capabilities from the ground up that help ensure Islamic Relief uses technology to deliver value to the people we help
  • Experience in leading and participating in large projects including managing small to medium sized projects from conception to delivery
  • Experience of change management, problem-solving and team leadership in a high-pressure environment
