Information Technology Internship (Summer 2023)

Zurich is currently looking for an Information Technology Intern in our Infrastructure & Operations Business for the Summer of 2023 out of our Schaumburg, IL office.

This intern will work under immediate supervision and perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a summer program with an assigned mentor.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Infrastructure & Operations Public Cloud support
• Network and application monitoring modernization and capability enhancement

You will learn:

• Managing Infrastructure and Operations projects
• Cloud Computing
• IT automation and monitoring
• Collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams
• Azure, AWS, Terraform, PowerShell, Dynatrace, Windows, Linux

Other development opportunities:

• Project management
• Collaboration on tools and skills
• Providing updates/presentations to key stakeholders
• Communication skills in a business environment
• Leadership

Basic Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2023
• Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
• Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA)
• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Computer Science , Information Technology, B usiness, Management Information Systems, business analytics, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile projects
• Analytical Mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving skills in customer focused environment
• Quick Learner
• Collaborative
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as needed
