Information Technology Intern

Internship Program Overview – Midrexs 2023 Summer Internship Program offers an immersive assignment to undergraduate students, enhancing their understanding of the business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a people centric organization. Midrex offers a 20 hour per week, paid internship that begins with an orientation in June and concludes in early August.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The internship will consist of a project-based assignment to broaden learning, experience, organizational knowledge and business acumen. Potential Areas of Learning:

• Performance Management support of our mid-year performance review process deployment and assessing how the technology talent platform can be leveraged to support the process.
• Learning and Development assist with the development of training materials and the implantation of a new learning management system (LMS).
• HRIS support with the implementation of a new HRIS technology including providing insight into success metrics and any recommendations to make the process/system work more effectively going forward.

Skills/Abilities:
Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to learn new technology, software and tools
• Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills

Education and Experience:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Business Administration/Management or related field
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
