Syria Relief & Development (SRD) is a non-profit organization providing humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by violence, hunger, poverty, injury, and displacement. Job Summary:
The Information Management Officer (IMO) plays a critical role in responsible for managing and coordinating data collection processes, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry, and supporting data analysis and reporting for health, nutrition, and protection projects
The role involves developing and maintaining databases, providing technical support to program teams, and ensuring data privacy and security.
This role also ensures that information management practices align with safeguarding and PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment) standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Data Collection and Management:
• Coordinate and manage data collection processes for health, nutrition, and protection projects.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the organization’s databases.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive databases to track project-related data.
• Regularly update and clean datasets to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
• Develop and implement data collection tools and processes, including surveys, questionnaires, and data entry forms.
2.Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Conduct thorough data analysis and generate reports to support informed programmatic decision- making.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with program teams to understand their data needs and provide technical support for data management and analysis.
3.Compliance and Security:
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security protocols to protect sensitive information.
• Ensure proper archiving and documentation of all project-related data and information.
4.Capacity Building and Support:
• Provide training and capacity-building support to program staff on data collection, management, and analysis techniques.
• Represent the organization in information management forums and working groups to stay updated on best practices and innovations.
5.Safeguarding and PSEA Compliance:
• Ensure that all information management activities align with SRD’s safeguarding and PSEA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data related to beneficiaries and staff, promoting a safe and respectful work environment.
6.General Duties:
• Participate in regular project review meetings to assess progress and address any data-related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct manager to support organizational goals.
Required qualifications and Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in data management, monitoring, and evaluation in a humanitarian or development organization.
- Strong data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, SPSS, or Stata.
- Experience in managing health, nutrition, or protection-related data.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Safeguarding and PSEAH Responsibilities
- Compliance with PSEAH and child protection policies, including the reporting of any related cases .
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is advantage
Citizenship Requirement
- Turkish citizenship is mandatory
Required Work Experience:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in information management, data analysis, or a related field. Experience in health, nutrition, or protection data management is preferred.
- Experience in I/NGOs is essential.
Competencies and Skills:
- The Information Management Officer will work closely with program teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection, management, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, SPSS, Power BI ,or Stata.
- Experience in managing health, nutrition, or protection-related data.
- Proficiency in data management software and tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Sata ,Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of data privacy and security protocols, and experience ensuring compliance with these standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and PSEAH principles and practices.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the SRD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.

- Traveling to field site upon needed.
