Talents Unlimited Project

Plan international Jordan is implementing a three-year project funded by the Netherlands Postcode Lottery with the aim of supporting the most vulnerable Syrian and Jordanian girls and boys between the ages of 12 – 24 to go back to school and receive a diploma with which they can continue their studies, get a job or start their own business.

The project also provides youth aged 18-24, who have not had a chance at an education for three years or more, the chance to enroll in vocational training. This offers them a chance to generate an income and support themselves and their families. The training offered covers a diverse range of topics, from photography, digital marketing, and graphic design, to culinary art skills to help participants become sous chefs as well as agricultural and food processing training.

To celebrate the achievements of the students, a competition will be held by the project to test the skills and talents of the youth who were part of the recent training courses (Graphic Design, Photography, & Digital Marketing). The competition will have a main theme, which will be voted on by the youth, and will have three separate categories for participants to partake in, reflecting the three different courses:

  • Photography: To enter this competition, youth will have to submit a series of photos (Number to be defined in consultation with influencer) that tell a story that represents the theme chosen.
  • Graphic Design: To enter this competition, youth will have to design a graphic design art piece that represents the theme chosen.
  • Digital Marketing: To enter this competition, youth will have to develop a creative marketing campaign for how they would best highlight this theme in an awareness raising initiative.
