Background of the Project
The technical cooperation project of JICA “Strengthening and expanding the Mentoring Service for SMEs in the Western Balkans” is being implemented from January 2022 to January 2025. This cooperation aims to establish a “Mentor Service System” in which the mentors provide practical advice to SMEs to grow their business, in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia.
The scope of work
(1)Administrative and accounting support to “JICA Experts on Strengthening and expanding the Mentoring Service for SMEs in the Western Balkans” (hereinafter referred to as “the Experts”)
-To make necessary arrangements for implementation of the Experts’ activities, such as making appointments, meeting arrangements, travel arrangements and any other administrative issues.
-To provide accounting support, such as collecting quotations, invoices, receipts, and payments.
(2)Technical support to the Experts
-To attend meetings, interpret for the Experts if necessary, and take minutes with documentations of references for the better understanding of the discussion.
-To collect and evaluate relevant information for the Project and reporting it to the Experts.
-To translate documents to/from English if necessary.
-To introduce people or organization who/which may be necessary or appropriate for the Experts to get acquainted with for the project implementation.
-To assist with PR activities to promote the Mentoring Service for SMEs.
(3) Any other duties as may be assigned by the Experts for the implementation of the Experts’ activities.
Work location
Belgrade, Serbia with frequent travel to BiH, Montenegro, North Macedonia
Contract period
From February 1, 2024 to November 30, 2024. *With possibility of extension
Qualification requirements
(1) Fluency in oral and written English and Serbian languages
(2) Undergraduate degree
(3) At least 5 years of postgraduate professional experience in international development or administrative area
(4) Familiarity with Official Development Assistance
Reporting Lines and Collaboration
The Consultant will work under the overall supervision of the JICA Expert in charge of the project.
Fee
Approximately 1500-2000 Euro/per month, Commensurate with experience
Selection Schedule
Application submission deadline: 8th January 2024, 17:00 (Belgrade time UTC+1)
Notification for the Application Screening: around January 17th 2024
Interview: January 18th – 19th (Tentative Dates)
*Interview will be conducted online.
