JOB CONTEXT:
The Southeast Asia Program include operations in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar and Thailand. The Regional Program Office is based in different countries of both programs. The first Regional Operational Strategy was approved in March 2021 and the next one will be conceived in 2024 for the next 5 years (2025-2030). The ongoing strategy aims to improve participation, resilience and quality of live conditions of persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups through the strengthening of Armed violence reduction: Strengthen and expand interventions as a quality land release operator. Explore manual demining, animal detection and innovative technologies, Early Childhood Development: focus on early detection and intervention, stimulation therapy, blue box and early learning. Nurturing care approach Rehabilitation: Strengthen and expand interventions building a model for continuum of rehab care Inclusive education: Consolidation as inclusive education actor on primary with technical support to relevant actors included institutional ones and Inclusive employment: Sustainable Economic Development to eliminate poverty through an inclusive employment strategy and resilient livelihood Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction: early action, inclusive humanitarian action, climate action disaster preparedness and risk reduction, emergency response.
YOUR MISSION:
Under the responsibility of the Technical Head of Program for Southeast Asia, the Field Technical Specialist contributes within the Program where he/she is based to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion. He/she ensures optimal quality and impact of the projects implemented in the country, through a delegation system with appropriate control mechanisms. He/she shares with all HI managers the responsibility of a sound management and successful functioning of the global organization, through paradigm changes.
Your responsibilities will be:
1. Expertise
- Contributes to the regional strategies in line with the global strategies
- Ensure technical support to projects in line with the global technical frameworks and standards on his sectorial scope
- Ensure technical learning from projects
- Ensure the control & monitoring of the technical quality and the relevance of HI’s activities in the Programmes under his scope
- Ensure compliance of the technical proposition with nexus stakes
- Contributes to the development of research and innovation projects in the region when relevant, in his sectorial scope
- Contribute to the Technical Divisions professional channel animation
2. Influence
- Contribute to the local external prestige and influence of HI’s expertise in his sectorial scope
- Represent the technical expertise of HI throughout the local relevant networks
- Contribute to advocacy on specific themes in line with the global advocacy priorities
- Contribute to communication messages locally in line with the global communication priorities
3. Business development
- Ensure the development of major opportunities or new projects in the region under his sectorial scope
- Contributes to the context analysis in his sectorial scope
- Contributes to the design and writing of new projects in the region and when asked in other countries within the Geographic Division
- Identify & transform major opportunities in the region under his scope
- Contributes to the conception of major projects (multiple countries, one theme) or of new projects in the region
- Identify & develop local partnerships and/or consortium with NGOs, Institutions, Companies on technical priorities or important topics in the region under his sectorial scope
YOUR PROFILE:
- You hold a master’s degree in Inclusion, Political Science, Social Policy, Education or related field
- You are used to work with people with disabilities in a developing country
- You have experience in Project management in the field of inclusion
- You have experience working closely in partnership with international development agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other collaborators/ stakeholders

- 06 months International contract starting from 1st September 2024; (with chances of extension)

- Salary from 2750€ gross/month upon experience;
- Perdiem: 575,80€ net/month – paid in the field
- Paid leaves: 25 days per year;
- R&R: 1 day per
- Position unaccompanied
- Housing: Individual taken in charge by HI;
