Illumination is looking for a Director, Digital Marketing responsible for creating impact and discovery through multidisciplined innovative efforts on a variety of platforms starting with digital but reaching into traditional. Partnering with the Director of Social, the Director, Digital Marketing will work closely with our Universal Studios partners, agencies and vendors as the glue for cross departmental efforts across all of marketing. Through thoughtful strategies, the Director will create and lead innovative campaigns across web, social, mobile and emerging platforms to increase brand awareness, movie conversion and create loyalty. The Director thrives on data driven solutions and insights, fresh ideas, and impeccable execution while having fun with new projects and campaigns for a diverse slate of new and existing franchises.

 

Responsibilities include:

Align with the Head of Digital on vision and strategy for Illumination’s digital marketing web, social, mobile and emerging portals and technologies plans and objectives
Help manage all digital marketing channels to ensure brand consistency
Drive and execute the digital marketing strategy and integrated campaigns through collaborative partnerships with marketing teams internally, across Universal Studios, and with film voice talent
Lead internal and external resources via influence, indirect leadership, guidance and support
Partner closely with our internal departments including creative, promotions, business affairs, production and publicity on efforts that have digital components
Oversee the operations workflow including the potential development/acquisition of tools, standards and processes to support effective execution and communication.
Source, identify, manage and oversee relationships with vendors and external agencies
Maintain and nurture relationship with all social, gaming, Web3 platforms
Serve as the subject matter expert for paid and earned opportunities across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snap, TikTok, YouTube and overall digital marketing trends
Compiles data and analytics for evaluation on social ROI
Inspire, collaborate, and propel external partners
Other responsibilities as needed

 

Qualifications:

Proactive leader with a proven portfolio of digital campaigns with strong results
Thrives on getting things done in a collaborative environment
Leads through an organized and systematic attention to details and follow-through
5 to 10 years progressive experience in entertainment or brand marketing, digital and other
Experience managing vendors, 3rd party services, and A list talent
Ability to communicate effectively with media, marketing, creative and executive teams
Proven experience overseeing multiple projects, managing teams and prioritizing workload in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and quality
Must have a BS/BA in Marketing or equivalent work experience
Proven executive management abilities
Passionate about digital, emerging platforms and animation
