  • General Background

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office was established on December 14, 1950 by the General Assembly of the United Nations. The Agency is mandated to direct and coordinate actions to protect people in refugee status and solve refugee problems. Its main purpose is to safeguard the rights and welfare of refugees. It also has a mandate to help stateless people. For more information on UNHCR, its mandate and operations please visit http://www.unhcr.org.

UNHCR is almost entirely funded by voluntary contributions from governments and private donors. Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Mexico is a priority market for PSP Americas, with the remit to increase awareness of UNHCR and raise funds from the private sector (individuals, corporates, foundations) in the country. The individual giving acquisition strategy has grown in the last years and it is expected to continue with this trend.

In this context, PSP Mexico is looking to recruit a person that will ensure the acquisition programs administrative and operational support.

  • Purpose and Scope of Assignment
  • Administrative and Collaborative Support

oAdministrative related tasks

oProcess permits for street and private site activations.

oCreate private sites activations.

oCollaborate with vendors to design marketing materials.

  • Campaign development and execution

oSupervise field activities and call center operations.

oAssist in the development and monitoring of lead conversion campaigns.

  • Reporting and Analysis

oPrepare and analyze fundraising reports.

oConduct monthly weekly and monthly KPI evaluations.

  • Communication and Engagement

oCreate scripts and pitch cards.

oStay updated with UNHCR news and strategies.

oRespond promptly to incidents or challenges.

oAttend fundraising activities and meetings as required.

  • Training

oInduction and constant training sessions

  • Partnership & Relationship Management

oCoordinate with private sites to form and maintain partnerships.

oAssist in UNHCR processes and collaborations when necessary.

  • Monitoring and Progress Controls
  • Directly report to Senior PSP Individual Giving Associate
  • Provide weekly report updates.
  • Submit monthly KPIs report.
  • Deliver annual KPIS performance analysis.
  • Ensure alignment with and achievement of program’s KPIs.

  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)
  • Completion of high school education is mandatory.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Arts, or related fields is desirable.
  • Work Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year in Senior Telemarketing and Face-to-Face roles preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Canva

Results and deliverables:

Expected metrics for this position are the following:

  • Create annual alliances with private sites.
  • Achieve annual targets for new donors and other related KPIs.
  • Supervise, analyze, and offer recommendations on Quality KPIs.
