What we are looking for

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a service-minded ICT Support Coordinator to cover a maternity leave position for 12 months. We are looking for someone who can start asap, so please indicate your availability in your application.

What you will do

Some of your specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that NRC staff get timely and effective ICT support and providing a positive experience for colleagues who approach ICT. This includes handling tickets (with Freshservice) and in-person support;
  • Analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software technical support issues, escalating issues as needed;
  • Preparing, distributing, and maintaining equipment (eg. laptops and phones), including asset tracking;
  • Supporting the employee through their ICT journey, including onboarding, account management, day-to-day troubleshooting, and off-boarding at contract end;
  • Training colleagues on how to use ICT equipment and tools;
  • Maintenance and support of the Head Office meeting room AV equipment;
  • Documenting solutions to common ICT issues/problems in the NRC ICT knowledge base;
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives;
  • Contributing to projects such as selecting and deploying new tools or procedures;
  • Contributing to the development of NRC’s ICT service management platform (FreshService);
  • Adhering to, communicating and enforcing NRC ICT policies and standards as well as escalating any deviations;
  • Perform other duties in the section as appropriate.

What you will bring

  • 3 years of relevant ICT support work experience (or equivalent demonstrable technical knowledge)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal (additional languages will be considered an asset);
  • Service-oriented;
  • People-skills, friendly, polite and constructive;
  • Strong desire to work within a humanitarian organization;
  • The following will be considered an advantage:
    • Familiarity with a modern HelpDesk system such as FreshDesk, Jira, or similar.
    • Experience in working with technical automations and workflows.

What we offer

  • Duty station: NRC Head Office in Oslo. You must be legally able to work in Norway and come to the Head Office on a daily basis.
  • Contract: national contract, 12 – Months contract.
  • Salary/benefits: grade 7 on NRC’s regional salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
