ICT Specialist

The ICRC Regional Delegation in Budapest is announcing a vacant full-time position of “ICT Specialist” based in Budapest.

This role will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of all ICT systems and services. The role will also assist on the design and installation of ICT infrastructures in other ICRC sites which is covered from the Budapest Regional Delegation.

Main responsibilities:

  • Independently installs, maintains, repairs and monitors ICT equipment in line with ICRC standards.
  • Ensures with the connectivity of the ICRC Regional delegation of Budapest and UAS office to the corporate ICRC network and to the Internet.
  • As part of global support services model, handles L2 tickets or escalates as per Service Desk’s workflows.
  • Provides the Level0 and Level1 support on the workplace when required for physical interventions to ICT equipment.
  • Ensures that existing ICT infrastructure in the ICRC Regional delegation of Budapest and the ICRC offices in Debrecen is functional.
  • Ensures that global/country-level policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
  • Briefs, advises, and trains end-users on the ICRC’s ICT systems and equipment.
  • Ensures inventory of ICT material is managed and updated as per procedures and carries out regular physical checks.
  • Drafts and updates technical documentation with the specificity of the context for all IT equipment.
  • Provides day-to-day technical support and briefings to end-users of desktop applications, telephones, printers, computers, Radio telecommunications, Satellite phones or any other ICT standard equipment.
  • Maintains contacts with suppliers/providers and follows ICRC logistics and ICT procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, electronics, computer science or similar field
  • Good command (spoken and written) of English and Hungarian
  • 3–4 years’ troubleshooting experience in an area of the ICT service catalogue (e.g. workplace services, telecommunications, IT, help desk, etc.)
  • 1 year of people-management experience a strong asset
  • Disciplined, accurate personality with high standards of work ethics
