Hygiene Team Leader – Ba’aj

DAA Background:

We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. We are a group of committed specialized graduates representing various intellectual backgrounds of our society. We have set up an independent non-governmental organization under the name of Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA).

Dijla is interested in development programs and are keen on the development of various sectors of local economy, husbandry and industry. Our activities and objectives include the setting up of modern and advanced model projects that will contribute positively to the local economy, tackling unemployment and to help the scientific research sector in the country.

Scope of Work:

Under direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Hygiene Team Leader will support and provide training to Hygiene promoters and community beneficiaries in the areas of Qahtaniya and center of Ba’aj. implantation, supervision, and monitoring of hygiene promotion awareness by using Participatory of hygiene and sanitation transformation approach through engagement of communities in hygiene awareness sessions and enhance community knowledge about personal, water, food, and environmental hygiene.

Job Function/ Description:

• Training, organizing and supervising multiple hygiene promotion outreach teams.
• Plan the daily activities regarding the working areas.
• Delegating tasks and setting deadlines for the project.
• Supervising the daily operations and performance of the teams.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports on activities.
• Monitor team performance and report metrics.
• Discovering training needs and providing training.
• Hear the opinions of team members and solve any problems or disputes.
• Collect and report any need in terms of materials, equipment etc.
• Assure the communication with the local community and organize regular meeting, consultation etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursery, Environmental Sciences, Community Development or related field. 
• Demonstrated experience with training and capacity-building.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Arabic. 
• Understanding of the situation of the region and commitment to humanitarian principles. 
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility, commitment, patience and a good sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work well and punctually under pressure.
