The Opportunity

The HP Coordinator is responsible for program-supported health promotion and in planning and mobilization, and management of the activities in his/her area. He will work closely with Health information management manager, to ensure effective communication, coordination and implementation of health promotion programs. He/she will have regular contact with the local government authorities Ministry of health, health promotion program, CHP, health committee, community leaders’ youth, student, women groups and other partners to escape overlap or duplication of work as well to ensure proper implementation of health promotion programs. The HP coordinator will be based in Blue Nile with frequent travel to the Field and/or other SC operation area as requested by supervisors.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participate in identification of health needs and possible interventions through outreach to and involvement of conflict affected communities such…etc PTAs, health committee women group’s community leaders, and core partners.
  • Participate in new health suspected event assessments as directed or advised by supervisor
  • Identify defaulter malnutrition children, pregnant women for ANC & PNC and encaging them to go to the health facilities where SCI providing free RUTF and RH services.
  • Facilitate communities and parents’ meetings or forums for identifying and finding possible solutions to new health event issues in the communities.
  • Facilitate the formation and strengthening of health community committees ensure that they effectively discharged their functions Familiar with various primary health education strategies.
  • Maintain appropriate interactions with children and youth at both professional and personal life.
  • Help the supported community and mobilize them to mobilize their local resources to participate in health nutrition and WASH meanwhile help the community to understand the value of health education and Child protection.
  • Assist in distribution of IEC materials as well as Soap and chlorine to ensure using of clean waters.
  • Assist in monitoring and supervising rehabilitation /construction of health facilities as infrastructure and advised by the health Manager for health facility Infrastructure Development.
  • CM will assist the sector leads to mobilize the local community for implementation of the project.
  • He/she also assist in arranging for distributions and recording it.

Essential

Minimum BSC in Social Science, Economic, Education, psychology and any other humanity science.

  • Expertise 2 years or more on Community Mobilizer INGOs Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years spent within a country office capacity.
  • Experience in internal auditing with non-profit / NGOs in Sudan is an additional asset.
  • Proficient of in application of internal auditing theory, standards, procedures & techiniques.
  • Experience in fraud awareness and case investigation management.
  • An unquestionably high level of integrity and ethics
  • Computer fluency; highly competent using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience working in complex financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative, the ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently is essential.
  • Available to travel frequently to all country locations.
