Human resource (HR) officer is a skilled and qualified HR professional who is responsible for assisting with managing every aspect of the employment process. They assist the department with recruitment, onboarding, employee file management, benefits administration, training, and development, and assist with payroll processing as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. The incumbent will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. This person will report to the Associate Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Ensures accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.
  • Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
  • May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
  • Prepares Procurement paperwork for human resource office for signatures.
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.)
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by scheduling interviews and performing reference checks.
  • Reconciles benefits invoices for payment and submits for signature.
  • Schedule meetings, HR events, etc. and maintain the team’s agenda.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  • Assist with orientations, onboarding, and updating records with new hires.
  • May assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience with 4 to 5 years of experience.
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Experience with Igloo a plus.
  • Experience with Ultipro and ICIMS a plus.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

Annual Salary Range: $55,502-$62,652
