The Role
FIXED TERM – 3 Years
To lead on delivery of the activity plan for the Scottish Wildlife Discovery Centre (SWDC) project at the Highland Wildlife Park and to manage the day to day activity of related Discovery and Learning (D&L) staff and programmes.Some of the thing’s you’ll be doing
- Work alongside the RZSS Learning Manager and RZSS Community and Discovery Programme Manager to ensure consistency in programmes across both sites
- Research, develop and deliver content for activity plan programmes including the creation of resource materials
- Liaise with appropriate education bodies to ensure the primary and secondary school delivery continues to meet the needs of the school curriculum and conditions of any funding received
- Ensure that developed programmes are accessible, inclusive and representational to the communities we’re supporting
- Maintain dynamic first-class customer service and public engagement throughout all delivery focusing on delivering informative, professional presentations and exceeding audience expectations
- Support the volunteering activities and outcomes for agreed target participants, to agreed standards supporting RZSS’ vision and mission
What we are looking for
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Understanding of working with communities & public engagement practices
- Assertive communicator, confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and presenting
- Ability to tailor often complex messages to a wide range of audiences
