HV Project Engineer

Our Center of Expertise Business Line is looking for an HV Project Engineer for the supervision of the transmission line /substation activities (engineering, construction, and commissioning) with the following responsibilities:

• Understand the RfG and GIS information for the items who impact in the Interconnection Station and Transmission Line;
• Analysis of Proposals to support decision on Subcontractors for Engineer Design and Construction works of Interconnection Station and Transmission Line;
• Analysis and supervision of Preliminary and Execution Project for the Interconnection Station and Transmission Line;
• Integration on Engineer Design company of HV, MV and LV systems and equipment’s and ensure smooth interfaces between civil, electrical, and mechanical execution;
• Follow-up with the grid operator;
• Analysis and supervision of on-site assembly of HV, MV and LV systems and equipment’s following Design and specifications;
• Supervision and participation of on-site tests and commissioning of HV, MV and LV systems and equipment’s;
• Coordination of contract with subcontractors up to complete as-built, handover and punch list resolution;
• Support during handover to grid operator;

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have/ be:

• Master of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar;
• Proven experienced proof of Electrical Power Systems in the field of Transmission and Distribution Systems with at least 3 years’ experience;
• Knowledgeable in HV, MV and LV systems and equipment’s;
• Good knowledge on the following:

o HV, MV and LV system design;

o HV and MV gas Insulated switchgear;

o HV and MV substation components (circuit breakers, voltage transformers, current transformers, switches, insulators, surge arrestor, capacitors,);

o Substation auxiliary equipment’s (batteries, UPS, LV distribution panels, …);

o HV, MV and LV cables;

o Overhead lines;

o Earthing grids of substations;

o Lightning Protection;

• Fluent in English (French or other languages would be a plus).
