The Opportunity

This position as a Humanitarian Response Officer will be responsible for overseeing special appeal emergency funds and supporting emergency response in acute emergencies including in countries where Trocaire does not have a country office. You will be part of an amazing humanitarian team and work very closely with humanitarian technical advisors.

You will report to Humanitarian Manager operations,The job opportunity will be offered on a fixed term contract for one year and is based in Ireland. There is no line management responsible to the role.

We are looking for a committed humanitarian with a third-level qualification in humanitarianism, development or related area and/or relevant humanitarian training and experience. Understanding of key humanitarian standards and principles of good practice is key requirement of the role.
