We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Officer to join our HR People Services team. You will join us working 35 hours per week, on a permanent basis and will be based from home with some occasional travel. In return you will receive a salary of up to £30,781,96 per annum plus excellent benefits.

The People and Culture Directorate provides all aspects of L&D, recruitment, workforce planning, employee lifecycle support and HR advice and guidance to Cats Protection employees and volunteers.

Responsibilities of our HR Officer:

To provide a customer-focused and efficient HR Service, ensuring the effective delivery of all first line support and transactional HR activity. Providing managers with guidance on HR processes and procedures in line with our policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. As a member of the HR team, you are expected to act as a role model and demonstrate our values in all aspects of your work.

What we’re looking for in our HR Officer:

  • good understanding of employment legislation and best practice
  • experience of providing day-to-day HR guidance and support
  • proven experience of applying HR policies and procedures
  • an understanding and experience of using HR systems
  • proven ability to multi-task and work on own initiative, accurately and under pressure
  • excellent communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
  • happy to undertake occasional travel to any location within the UK, including potential overnight stays away from home
