Where you come in:

In full-time, 12 month fixed-term appointment, based in our Head Office in Carlton*, you will play a key role within the People & Culture team. Providing guidance and leadership across our 54 reasons division, your impact will include leading generalist HR projects, driving strategic outcomes, and championing change. You will report to our Chief People Officer and work closely with our Managing Director, 54 reasons, to support employee lifecycle processes for a workforce of approximately 550 people Nationally.

You will make an impact by:

  • Partnering with the 54 reasons Senior Management Team to ensure quality people outcomes,
  • Leading large-scale change management processes and strategic HR projects for this client group
  • Implementing and communicating Group HR initiatives and talent management processes,
  • Being a conduit between the P&C function and 54 reasons, to align and deliver strategic priorities and reporting,
  • Leading, coaching and developing the 54 Reasons HR Advisor and a consultant IR specialist, ensuring high-quality service and support for stakeholders and achievement of project outcomes.
  • Identifying resource gaps and capability requirements to enable delivery of organisation objectives,

Does this sound like you?

You boast extensive experience in the NFP or community services sector, ideally with a national organisation with a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce. You have an uncanny ability to tailor your approach to ensure cultural appropriateness for the context, ensuring exceptional communication of messaging and strategy. You’re a skilled HR professional, with a deep understanding of industry Awards, EBAs, Fair Work legislation, and relevant related policy. More than anything, you’re driven to utilise your skills to achieve our organisational goals and protect children from all forms of harm, helping them to survive and thrive.

This role requires

  • Exceptional change management abilities: including strategic thinking, planning, execution, and delivery,
  • Experience supporting (and ideally leading) enterprise agreement planning, negotiation, and implementation,
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and competence, particularly in relation to working with First Nations staff and in communities and in relation to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) groups.
  • High-level consultation and project management skills,
  • Exceptional communication skills,
  • Proven results partnering with executive teams to deliver outcomes for clients, employees, and the broader organisation.
  • Experience working with effectively with external agencies, and
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills including influencing, management, team building, consulting, and negotiation skills.
