About The Role

You will be responsible for minimizing the impact of operational irregularities and unplanned events on cargo flown as planned (FAP) to accommodate efficient cargo flows within the Hamad International Airport Cargo Terminal. Provide an early warning system and proactive coordination to prevent operational discrepancies to ensure an improved and sustainable operational performance

  • Ensure pre-flight arrival and departure requirements are available including transportation (special loads and security) to meet the daily operational requirements and defined KPIs.
  • Ensure loading, offloading, infeed, break, build, outfeed, departure and delivery activities are completed within set standard level agreements (SLA) and defined KPIs.
  • Monitor workstation productivity and usage to support an efficient operation.
  • Ensure pre-checks are completed for special shipments e.g. security checks/regulations in accordance with QAS Cargo processes and procedures.
  • Monitor delays of cargo flights and coordinate for ULD breakdown to prevent or minimize the delay for onward booking and flight uplift.
  • Manage shipment connections for outbound flights and ensure Quick Ramp Transfer (QRT) units are transferred as planned to adhere to the Flown as Planned (FAP) parameters.
  • Monitor flight manifest releases according to defined KPIs to ensure compliance with SOPs and CIQ standards.
  • Provide visibility on ramp offloads, ensuring offloaded units are returned to warehouse in a time bound manner.
  • Co-ordinate bay changes to ensure information is relayed to relevant stakeholders for efficient ramp coordination.
  • Liaise with QAS Ground Services for transportation, Non-Motorized Equipment (NME) availability and manpower, ensuring effective and on time delivery of cargo at aircraft bay.
  • Coordinate planned and unplanned disruptions (systems and contingencies) to ensure business continuity.
  • Supervise warehouse storage capacity based on forecasted loads ensuring utilization of space, equipment and manpower.
  • Fulfil any other responsibilities as required or deemed fit for optimal operational standards.

About You

An ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 to 4 years of Station Ground Handling or Operations Control Center experience within Logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of Ground Handling Operational Procedures.
  • Knowledge of IATA Cargo Handling Procedures and Regulations.
  • Knowledge of Cargo Management Systems.
  • Basic understanding of emergency response procedures, action plans, strategies and policies for effective control over manpower resources and equipment utilization.
  • Relevant courses from recognized establishments within the field of Aviation, Cargo and Freight Operations, Warehousing and Cargo Handling.
  • Planning and organizational skills with customer focus and analytical skills.
