Job Title – Hub Accountant (Scope Thailand & Malaysia)

Location – Singapore

The Role

Manage the financial operations and controls of the assigned Operating company. Coordinates with operating company stakeholders and manage the performance of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).

What you will do:

  • Responsible for month-end closing to ensure books closure are timely and with good commentaries on management reports.
  • Manage BPO for accounting activities including AP and GL to ensure accounting bookings and records are accurately, timely maintained and meet key and critical performance indicators.
  • Review and/or prepare monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations in Trintech/ Cadency (standard accounting tools).
  • Ensure Internal Controls are adhered to base on the segregation of duties.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations (US GAAP, local fiscal and statutory regulations).
  • Liaise with local offices of the assigned supporting countries and internal stakeholders to resolve any operational finance matters.
  • Responsible for statutory audit, quarterly GST/WHT filing, annual corporate tax filing, and related tax payment to the authorities.
  • Liaise with Company Secretary on secretarial matters.
  • Involved in finance projects when assigned, render support to other team members when necessary.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in General Accounting (GA) function.
  • Prior experience from Accounting Shared Service environment is an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of major ERP systems. SAP would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Conversant in Thai /Malay language.
