Reports to: Head of HR Operations

Liaises with: HR Management team, wider HR team (including L&OD and Staff Health team)

Job location: Hybrid – a minimum of 2 days per week in Head Office in Dublin 2

Pay Band: Grade 5, €49,905 – €58,711

Contract: Permanent

Concern currently has a vacancy for a HR Shared Services Team Lead on a fixed term basis in the Human Resources Department. The HR Shared Services Team Lead will have responsibility for leading a team of 4 HR Officers and a Travel Officer, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of HR Operational processes.

Working as the HR Shared Services Team Lead will give you the opportunity to contribute as a key member of the HR team, working closely with HR Management and the IT Department to input into the development and roll-out of an organisation wide HR Information System (HRIS). You will also work closely with the wider HR team, providing your experience and expertise on the operational aspects of HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of HR operational activities and processes, including but not limited to; on-boarding, payroll, employee records and admin, time and attendance, leaver process;

· Provide leadership and development of the HR Shared Services team through effective direction, delegation, coaching and performance management to ensure that the team can achieve the required performance standards and have a focus on continuous improvement of the service provided to staff;

· Suggest and implement process improvements that will contribute to more efficient working practices – be a subject matter expert for all operational aspects of HR processes;

· Act as an escalation point for complex queries received through the HR Helpdesk;

· Input into the development and roll-out of an organisation wide HR Information System;

· Responsibility for ensuring GDPR compliance is continually built into all HR operational activities and processes;

· Responsible for the sign-off on monthly payroll and employee contracts.

· Provide on-call cover for the 24 hour emergency phone;

· Accept, advance and pursue any new objectives or responsibilities that may be assigned by HR Management;

· Ensure that the organisation’s values and policy commitments, including accountability, equality and safeguarding, are reflected in assigned responsibilities and contribute to a positive internal and external working relationship within the HR Overseas Team and with stakeholders/customers.

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

· University degree in Human Resource Management or a relevant discipline.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar operational lead role with at least 2 years’ experience of people management, with a preference for international experience.

· Capability to lead, motivate and challenge an operations team to deliver on the objectives of the function and to continuously develop their skills and competencies in line with HR best practice.

· Experience of working as part of a HRIS project, specifically experience of conducting process reviews, migrating HR data and creating and executing test scripts.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven experience in a business facing role with the confidence and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation

· Strong analytical skills and experience working with HR data

· Experience in the creation of KPIs and SLAs

· A self-starter with the proven ability to deliver on results and meet deadlines

· The ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative.

Desirable:

· CIPD membership

· Previous experience working in the INGO sector

· Fluency in French
