The HR Officer is responsible for staff administration for Cotabato-based and Zamboanga-based sub-offices, covering files on Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, HR Administration, and Employee Relations. The incumbent provides HR services in line with the ICRC’s and the delegation’s policies and the applicable laws and regulations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a focal point for general HR-management issues;
  • Processes payroll for Mindanao-based staff in absence of HR Officer-in-charge and coordinates with various departments for payroll-related transactions;
  • Carries out administrative follow-up on HR-related issues (conflict management, training, etc. and staff-management policies are applied correctly;
  • Ensures that new employees are welcomed and well-integrated;
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with local labor laws and staff regulations

Qualifications

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • University degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or relevant field;
  • At least 2-3 years’ progressive experience as HR Generalist;
  • Experience working in an INGO or humanitarian organization is preferable.
  • Knowledge and experience in payroll ERP is a strong advantage;
  • Computer Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
  • Strong time management skills (multi-tasks, prioritizes work tasks, utilizes resources effectively/efficiently, adapts to changing work demands/priorities/environments);
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Filipino; Knowledge of Bisaya-Cebuano is an advantage
