HR Manager

With an expanding portfolio of humanitarian assistance and disaster preparedness, risk mitigation and recovery programs, we are currently seeking an HR Manager to manage the International Development team’s HR operations. This position will ideally be based in Washington D.C. though other remote locations may be considered.

Some of the central responsibilities of this position are:

• Recruit, interview, and hire top talent for the international development team
• Conduct new hire orientations and ensure successful onboarding of staff
• Serve as a point of contact for employment related inquires from applicants and staff members
• Assess training needs of staff and implement effective programs
• Maintain consultant contracts and database
• Analyze compensation trends and create salary structures
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regarding global compensation and allowances

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA in human resources, international relations, or another business-related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 8+ years of human resource experience in the international development/humanitarian assistance field. 2+ years at HQ level preferred
• Advanced knowledge of California labor law
• Experience in a fast paced, high volume setting
• PHR or GPHR preferred
