HR Developer Specialist 13 (Fire Fighter Regional Training Coordinator)

Job Description

This position contains a Selective Position Requirement (SPR) of five (5) years’ experience in the fire industry, and certification as a Michigan Fire Service Instructor I.

This position is responsible for advising and assisting the Fire Fighter Training Division (FFTD) program and services within the State of Michigan. Duties will consist of but are not limited to collection and maintenance of the FFTD programs data, firefighting training methodologies; liaison to regional training centers; provides oversight for training coordinators, provides oversight for evaluations of instructors; approves and monitors courses; provides oversight for the administration of firefighter certification exams; assist with the development and monitoring of the FFTD budget; assist with development of curriculum; policies and procedures; and providing technical direction to regional training centers; county training committees; local fire departments and instructors.

This position is responsible for Region 2, which consists of lower southwest and lower southeast Michigan.

Required Education And Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.

Experience

Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Human Resources Developer, including two years equivalent to a Human Resources Developer P11 or one year equivalent to a Human Resources Developer 12.
