Overview of Bonyan Organization:
Bonyan is an independent non-governmental, non-profit organization concerned with Syrian human beings. It started its activities in the city of Aleppo and was registered in 2014 in Turkey.
Bonyan works to build human beings and their skills and to promote values through education and early recovery projects.
Bonyan’s refugee response program is structured around three axes: education, protection, and livelihoods.

Job Title: HR Coordinator
Location: Gaziantep -Turkey
Reported to: Operation Manager
Job purpose:
– Bonyan is looking to employ an HR coordinator with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. An HR coordinator is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have excellent administrative and IT skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
– To ensure success, the HR coordinator should display strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll. Top candidates will be fantastic at managing conflict, effective at scheduling, and thorough in the recruitment process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Staffing/recruitment:
- Supervising the organization’s hiring process from recruiting, interviewing, and smooth onboarding process.
- Ensuring Bonyan’s programs and administrative teams are optimally staffed; staff is well trained and aware of their duties and responsibilities and are thriving in their roles.
Understanding Staffing Needs:
- Support Bonyan’s current and future staffing needs by understanding the gaps in needs in current programming and administrative departments.
- Follow up on the preparation of staff employment contracts, consultants, casuals, and temporary staff.
- Ensuring proper procedures and timelines are followed for probationary periods and renewals are done on time.
Payroll management:
- Timely and accurate processing of the payroll. Ensuring payroll data is accurate and up to date.
Compensation and benefits:
- Determine that staff compensation is fair, meets standards, and is enough to motivate and retain staff.
- Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents i.e., employment contracts and recruitment guides. Handle Medical cover, pension, and any other staff benefits.
Records management:
- Maintaining proper physical and online personnel records. Ensure the organization’s archive (Share Point HR Drive) is well-maintained and secure.
Policy formulation:
- Formulation and implementation of the organization’s policies, standard operating procedures, and departmental framework.
Performance management:
- Conducting performance appraisals. Developing/reviewing reward, compensation and benefit system that motivates staff.
Culture management:
- Nurture and ensure there is a positive working culture at Bonyan.
- Promoting equality and diversity within the organization. Create effective channels of communication between employees and management.
Handling employee relations:
- Handling employee grievances, labor relations, staff welfare, and benefits. Implementing disciplinary procedures and measures.
- Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR-related queries.
- Responsible for Environmental &, Occupational Safety and Health Administration: Co-coordinating internal training, updating policies, monitoring records and corrective actions maintaining and upholding optimal occupational, safety, and health standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources administration business related (essential).
Requirements&Skills:
- 2 years of experience as an HR coordinator (essential).
- Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Exposure to payroll practices.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Females are preferred
