Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs working in 40 countries worldwide, is currently looking for enthusiastic HR Assistant who will be specialized in recruitments for Kyiv Country Office.

DRC has been operating in Ukraine for more than 10 years with emergency and durable solution interventions for assisting IDPs, returnees, Host communities, and conflict-affected populations. With the outbreak of the conflict in February 2022, DRC has shifted its programming to emergency response to meet the urgent needs of conflict-affected population in the country.

Overall purpose of the role:

To recruit staff to DRC Ukraine operation in line with DRC Global people planning and recruitment procedures. To provide support and/or technical guidance to Hiring Managers within the country.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure staff recruitment process is in line with DRC procedure and the local labor law
  • Share tools and provide advices to managers in regard to preparation of Job Announcements
  • Advertise vacancies using the best available practices
  • Prepare the longlist of candidates and share it with hiring manager
  • Support hiring managers while shortlisting
  • Arrange and coordinate job interviews
  • Conduct the reference check and send out job offers, as well as rejections to non-selected candidates
  • Ensure availability of required documents in recruitment folders
  • Update recruitment tracker on a weekly basis
  • Perform administrative tasks in relation to recruitment processes
  • Support HR department in other tasks related to recruitment

To be a match for the job we expect you to have:

  • At least 1 year of working experience in HR field, specifically in Recruitment.
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Fluency in Ukrainian
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Programmes (E.g. Excel and Word)

Required education:

Masters or Bachelor degree in HR or other related filed.

We offer:

Contract length: 6 months renewable depending on the organizational needs

Designation of Duty Stations: Kyiv

Start date: As soon as possible.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
