Introduction to the country office:

NCA has had a presence in Iraq intermittently since 2003.  Most recently, NCA re-opened its country office in northern Iraq in 2014 in response to the crisis resulting from the invasion by the IS.

NCA Iraq is implementing a Peacebuilding and gender-based violence (GBV) program designed to facilitate the recovery and reintegration of survivors into their communities and challenge the cultural norms that perpetuate GBV. NCA also works in peacebuilding.

NCA implements its GBV programs in (Alqoush, Bashiqa, Sinjar Town, Sinjar Mountain, Sinuni, Tel Kaif/Musol, Hamdaniya,Hatra and Baaj)

 

Information about the position: NCA is seeking a short-term HR Assistant to assist the HR department

Information about the contract: This is 4 months service contract

Qualifications

  • Schedule job interviews with candidates in accordance with NCA procedure
  • Responsible for the tracking of staff timesheets and reviewing leave balances.
  • Assist HR department in all administration, in the recruitment process including arranging and attending interviews, termination, renewals, and changes are appropriately done.
  • Organize and maintain employee file system which contains all NCA National, and service staff.
  • Preparing NCA Badge for all NCA staff.
  • Support HR Office in maintaining tracking sheets for all national, service, and consultancy contracts.
  • Other Relevant Tasks as assigned by the HR department.

Personal qualities

  • Computer skills (word, excel, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding written and spoken English, Kurdish, and Arabic is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a structured and organized manner
  • Good communication skills.
