The NRC Head Office HR Unit is part of the wider HR community that provides a full range of HR development and operational support to staff and managers based in the Oslo Head Office and our Representation Offices abroad. The Head Office HR Unit also ensures the implementation of global HR strategies, as they apply to Head Office (HO), and has responsibility for the facilities management and administration of the HO premises.

As an HR Adviser, you will ensure coordination of HR functions and compliance across all departments, including field operations and NORCAP, whilst fostering a strong partnership with our internal customers.

What you will do:

Some of your specific responsibilities include;

  • Focal point for the HR Management system “NRC People”.
  • Focal point for timesheets administration
  • Responsible for our HR Head Office SharePoint site
  • Responsible for monthly coordination of staff salaries together with the salary team
  • Develop and improve the internal communication, including timesheet, HR briefs, and on-boarding
  • Responsible for developing and implementing own initiatives according to HR Head Office plan of action
  • Contribute in relevant Global HR projects.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the field of HR, including some experience with compensation and benefits
  • Fluency in both English and Norwegian, both written and verbal
  • High degree of personal flexibility, service attitude and ability to prioritize
  • Documented ability to deliver results according to plan
  • Knowledge about Norwegian labour law and work culture
  • Good level of numeracy and comfortable in working with data and financial information
  • Good understanding of Excel and good analytical skills
  • Ideally experience with Oracle and Agresso/Unit4.
