The housekeeper ensures that ICRC premises and residences are neat, clean, and well disinfected.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides cleaning/housekeeping/laundry services at ICRC premises
- Informs his/her supervisor about any issues regarding the premises (materials needed to carry out duties, malfunctioning equipment, damaged furniture or premises, etc.)
- Supports maintenance, logistics, and other colleagues in a variety of manual tasks when assigned to the office
- Operates small office machines (copiers, telephone, etc.)
- Operates floor polisher, pressure washer, and other cleaning equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of residence garden and surrounding area.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Completed secondary education / with high school diploma
- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
- Knowledge in basic hygiene principles
- Prior work experience in an international humanitarian organization is an advantage
- Knowledge of office procedures and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good prioritization and time management skills
