MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

The objective of the Housekeeper position will be to clean and maintain the upkeep of the expat housing and guesthouses. This includes cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues.

General Responsibilities:

  • Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Clean and stock restrooms.
  • Notify managers of necessary repairs.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Keep linen room stocked.
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture.
  • Anticipate and respond to customers’ queries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Keep a record of and reorder cleaning supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Secondary School Certificate of Education preferred.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in a professional housekeeping position.
  • Experience working in an environment similar or closely related to iNGO type of work.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of good housekeeping practices.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Good ethical conduct
  • Medically fit
  • No criminal record
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
