We are seeking a polished hospitality professional for the role of Reservationist to join our Front of House team. Awarded by the Caterer three years in a row as one of the top 15 places to work in hospitality, we are seeking an individual with a passion for guest service and a organised approach.

Opened in May 2019, Dakota Manchester is centrally located in the Piccadilly Basin, quickly gaining the position of Number 1 hotel in the city on Trip Advisor for offering fantastic service to all of our guests. Situated on Ducie Street, close to Piccadilly Station in an eight-story purpose-built structure, Dakota Manchester offers a quality of hotel unparalleled in Manchester. Dakota is home to 137 luxury bedrooms, including 27 suites – the most in the city, a destination cocktail bar with Champagne room, and a brasserie style grill with private dining rooms as well as a spectacular terrace.

CONTRACT AND REWARD

Remuneration is £20,000 per month, paid monthly. The role carries a permanent contract for 40 hours per week, working any 5 days out of the week. Candidates must be fully flexible to work shifts, however the hours will typically be 10am-7pm, Tuesday-Saturday.

Role Responsibilities

The engine of Dakota, Reservationists must have a genuine warmth that can be translated over the telephone and on emails, as well as being well organised. Job responsibilities include:

• To carry out Reservations duties including creating reservations, handling guest queries, pre arrival communications with guests, carrying out ad hoc requests, and handling guest billing.
• Provide a consistently excellent level of guest service in accordance to our service principles and values, ensuring that all guests receive special attention and recognition.
• To have a comprehensive knowledge of the Front Office computer systems.
• Work closely alongside all other departments to ensure excellent communication and be proactive in assisting other departments as required.
• Offer additional services to make the guest experience more seamless i.e. making restaurant reservations, assisting in directions, delivering items to room.

Applicant Requirements

As well as having a desire to learn and an enthusiasm for the role and full training will be given. The successful applicant will have/be:

• At least 1 year working experience as a receptionist or similar reservationist role
• Experience using RezLynx and/or Opera system would be preferred but not essential
• An outgoing personality and a real team player.
• Be flexible in working shift patterns required.
• Successful candidates will have an outgoing personality and be confident in providing dynamic service.
• Fully computer literate.
