The Health Field Officer contributes in implementing, running, and monitoring the Health Care in Detention (HCD) Program in cooperation with the HCD team, according to the objectives set out in the delegation’s annual planning (Planning for Results). Facilitates the ICRC support to control Tuberculosis (TB) in places of detention as part of the ICRC health care in detention team. Strengthen the ICRC technical support to authorities to control TB among persons deprived of liberty.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates the planning, coordinating, and implementing of TB control strategies at the field level.
• Analyzes the TB situation in the country with a focus on places of detention and supports in designing a TB control project.
• Contributes to systemic and field level TB control interventions in line with the ICRC strategy such as the development of national health standards, policies, and guidelines in collaboration with National detention and health authorities.
• Facilitates working group meetings with key interlocutors on TB and other health care in detention issues.
• Works in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and Bureau of Corrections (BUCOR).
• Maintains close links with partners engaged in TB control in the country.

REQUIRED PROFILE
• University degree in Nursing, or Public Health or related field, with a professional license to practice in the country.
• Post graduate degree in public health, global health, or related field is an advantage
• 7 years’ progressive work experience with minimum 3 years’ in TB control and familiarity with national guidelines on TB.
• Demonstrate experience in project design and implementation preferably on TB-related projects.
• Establish partnership experience with key TB actors in the country (Global Fund, DOH, USAID projects.)
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Filipino.
