Healthcare Scientists play a critical role in the NHS and HEE London are building a new structure for the Healthcare Science Team to provide leadership and oversight in collaboration with HEE National School of Healthcare Science and NHS England, for our London Healthcare Science Workforce.

This is a newly developed post to support the expansion of the HEE London Healthcare Science Leadership Team, so it is an exciting time to join our team. We are seeking people with the drive, enthusiasm and commitment to help us effectively and efficiently manage the processes required to achieve the core functions of the team.

You will contribute to the development of projects and workstreams and have a direct impact on the quality of education and training of healthcare scientists across London

 

A Project Support Officer is a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives. You will work closely with the healthcare science leadership team across HEE and provide administration and project management support to the team.

 

As the Healthcare Science project Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the provision of administrative and project support services across Healthcare Science workstreams in Health Education England – London including but not limited to: Provision of high-quality service, initiative and administrative support for a range of projects and initiatives linked to Healthcare Science workstreams;Taking minutes and actions at meetings and distribute agendas/papers;Update and maintain mailing lists and spreadsheets with various contacts including Hospitals and Clinical Commissioning Groups;Acting as project and administrative lead for the Healthcare Science team;Taking the lead on promoting new initiatives within London working closely with the Healthcare Science Dean and Healthcare Science leads;Undertaking reporting and analysis of project information to support project delivery;Providing administrative support to all Healthcare Science meetings and activities andManagement and co-ordination of activities as required by the Healthcare Science Dean.

Salary Progression

 

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 5 with a full-time starting salary of £30,786, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 4 years’ service.

 

These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
