Health and Safety Intern

• Support the overall development of the health and safety program.
• Assist with risk assessments, job safety analysis(JSA) and incident investigation processes.
• Mitigate risks as they arise utilizing the hierarchy of controls.
• Support and identify safety opportunities on the manufacturing floor.
• Support the safety site leader as needed, with any other health and safety related tasks.
• Assist in wellness program coordination and activities.
• Health and safety administrative duties, as assigned.(PowerPoint, Excel, Memos, Toolbox talks, safety capsules, etc.)

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or related
• Must have completed a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate coursework by start of internship
• Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, and Excel)
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required to be onsite in Sturtevant, WI for the duration of the internship
