The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an IT leader who wants to help people harness their own power to achieve a feminist, just, green transition in the 45 countries where ActionAid works.

You will lead a global strategy for digital transformation, responding not only to current business needs but also opportunities to exponentially increase ActionAid’s impact and effectiveness in future. The role requires a practical visionary with the ability to recognize and assess strategic opportunities; communicate and remove barriers to effect smart solutions; and bring senior decision-makers on board.

Who we’re looking for:

With +5 years broad management experience or advanced expertise across relevant technology disciplines; proven experience in leading technical dimensions of digital transformation; experience in leading and/or taking part on effective cross-functional change teams; substantial experience managing a team of experts delivering robust and secure business-critical systems and previous experience in a globally distributed, decentralised organization.

You should have proven competence to oversee enterprise IT systems and data architecture ; deep understanding of new and existing digital transformation solutions and platforms and how these interrelate with organisational culture, advanced knowledge of modern best practices for digital design and development ,understanding of enterprise IT security and cybersecurity requirements and constraints; Knowledge of Microsoft on-premises and cloud services is desired (Active Directory and identity / permissions management, Azure or other cloud hosting services and Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, network security, virtual networking)

You’re a collaborative and courageous leader who exemplifies our feminist leadership and safeguarding approach, including self-awareness, self-care and caring for others, dismantling bias, responsible & transparent use of power, respectful feedback, and zero tolerance for discrimination or abuse

You’re used to working magic with a limited set of resources through your creative ideas, drive for results and ability to galvanise commitment from both internal and external stakeholders.
