Purpose of the role

While Proton is known to be a strong consumer oriented business, we also have a fast growing B2B business with our 50’000 business customers, which are predominantly SMEs, with an increasing number of larger enterprises clients in recent years. We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales to lead our B2B go to market and revenue generation efforts.

You will be taking ownership of the sales funnel, optimizing customer acquisition, and refining the sales process while playing pivotal role in expanding the customer base of Proton and making our privacy ecosystem mainstream. You will report to the CEO and manage a direct team of sales and customer success professionals. You will be expected to build a revenue-driven organization and raise the expertise into the fields of outbound sales, revenue operations, B2B marketing and channel sales.

This role is for you if you are an industry subject matter expert thriving in fast-paced environments, with a proven track record of scaling B2B SaaS products to millions of users.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute the company’s revenue strategy, including sales (in- and outbound), revenue operations, B2B marketing, channel sales, business development, and customer success initiatives, to achieve revenue goals and drive business growth.
  • Define and implement sales processes, methodologies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive sales effectiveness and productivity. Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline sales processes and efficiency.
  • Seek out new business opportunities and market segments to expand the company’s customer base and revenue streams. Analyze sales data, monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform revenue strategies and drive competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with product management to align product development and positioning with market needs and revenue objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to create and execute B2B marketing campaigns that will generate high-quality leads and drive user acquisition.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with channel partners, distributors, and resellers.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach throughout the organization, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and up-sell opportunities. Develop customer success programs and initiatives to drive product adoption and customer loyalty and retention.
  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing revenue organization across all seniority levels. Impress a culture of ownership and high-velocity delivery across the whole organization.

Job Requirements

  • Successful B2B SaaS technology experience, as a Head of Sales or similar role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, to hundreds of M$ of ARR, and achieving sales targets in a SaaS growth-stage environment.
  • 7+ years in leadership roles, building and owning the end-to-end sales funnel.
  • Strong decision-making skills, making high-judgement decisions at rapid pace.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic leader with a highly analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Solid project management skills with successful track record of aligning business objectives with revenue generation initiatives.
  • 360° business acumen with expertise in marketing, sales and finance.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams, with high velocity and talent density.
